The project brief
The brief
Following the C-X75 programme, WAE were commissioned to manufacture six stunt cars which were then shipped to Rome for filming of the James Bond Spectre film.
In only 16 weeks, WAE developed and built seven stunt cars from scratch- to be used for an exhilarating high-speed car chase for the James Bond movie, Spectre. This car was inspired by the Jaguar C-X75 developed in partnership with Jaguar in 2010/11. This supercar had an ambitious goal of having the performance of a Bugatti Veyron, but the emissions of a Toyota Prius and the pure electric range of a Chevrolet Bolt- WAE and Jaguar managed to achieve this goal in the fully functional prototypes created.
Motorsport manufacturing speed
Designed and manufactured in under 10 weeks- with six stunt cars manufactured and shipped off to Rome for filming.
Rapid testing
WAE’s aggressive testing plan meant that the final product was ready only 6 weeks after manufacturing.
Filming requirements
Major modifications were made to the C-X75 to allow for all the necessary filming equipment to be attached.
