WILLIAMS ADVANCED ENGINEERING TO SHOWCASE TRANSPORT INNOVATION AT ITT HUB 2020

Feb 15, 2019

As a leader in future sustainable transport, WAE will showcase its technology with a major presence at ITT Hub 2020 (www.itthub.co.uk) at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre on 13-14th May 2020.  Innovation and Technology in Transport Hub, or ITT Hub, aims to bring fresh ideas and forward thinking to the sectors involved in a new event format at a world class venue.

WAE delivers inspired engineering for a sustainable future, applying Formula One and Formula E-derived technology across industry from the company’s expertise in batteries and electrification, aero and thermodynamics, lightweight and composite materials and training and simulated environments.  The company’s presence at ITT Hub 2020 will demonstrate the leading technologies on offer from Williams to enable companies delivering the future of transport, infrastructure and connectivity to accelerate product development and enhance their offerings to market.

“As a leading company in innovation and technology in transport we are always keen to ensure that WAE is involved in conversations about the future of mobility,” said Iain Wight, Business Development Director of WAE.  “Our talented teams are already making crucial contributions to future sustainable travel on land, in the air and on the water and we believe that we have plenty more to offer industry across all forms of transport.  We’re looking forward to the event and to the many fruitful conversations that will no doubt take place there.”

Innovation and technology are both central themes in transport and they will increasingly shape future service provision at an accelerating rate.  Collectively, those involved in the sector seek to understand and keep pace with the latest innovations and technologies that are now the new reality in transport. With a focus on collaboration, energy and environment, ITT Hub 2020 aims to focus this activity in a single event, in a new format unlike any other event in existence at present.

“It is great news for ITT Hub 2020 to have such an iconic name as Williams taking part in our event,” said Binswood Media CEO Mark Griffin. “With their experience translating technological developments from Formula One and Formula E into commercial applications, they are a catalyst for innovation in the industries attending ITT Hub 2020.  As a winner of a 2018 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation, WAE will make a crucial contribution to conversations at the event. Their participation is yet another vote of support for our proposition.”

Despite being 15 months away from the inaugural exhibition in May 2020, the organisers of ITT Hub 2020 have confirmed that more than 45% of initial stand space has already been sold, with a number of key exhibitors committing to the new event for Innovation & Technology in Transport in the UK. An Advisory Board representing leading transport industry stakeholder groups will provide additional support to shaping the thought leadership and seminar content.

ITT Hub 2020 will offer an initial total of 15,000m2 of indoor and outdoor space at Farnborough International, the home the world-renowned Farnborough International Air Show (www.farnborough.com).
