After graduating with a Master’s Degree from Imperial College London, Tim began his career at a major automotive OEM, where he was lead engineer for a hybrid battery, delivering the commodity through to a successful launch into multiple vehicle programmes & high-volume production.
Tim is currently Manager for Advanced Battery Technologies at WAE. Since early 2019, Tim has led battery concept selection for several high-profile WAE battery programmes ranging from large Haul Trucks to top-tier high performance motorsport, including Formula E Gen 3, LMDh KERS and Extreme-E.
In his current role, he leads an agile, cross-functional team of engineers covering battery systems, electrochemistry and software functions, developing solutions to maximise the performance of battery systems through advanced algorithms and analytics, while supporting WAE’s battery technology strategy & roadmaps.
