Graham Belgum

As General Manager for WAE’s Green Fleet team, Graham is responsible for the team delivering Tier 1 and 2 battery power solutions and products to OEM’s and customers, supporting them during deployment in the field and subsequently, repurposing the battery modules to ensure second and third life before finally recycling at the end of their lives.

“I am really excited that at the end of 5 years we will have delivered battery power solutions that will have removed a billion litres of diesel from being used by Fortescue; which equates to a million cars being taken off the road”.

“We’re aiming to create new ideas and to do things better in the zero emission heavy mining industry space. We want WAE to be at the forefront of the associated technology and be first to market with new ideas that will support and accelerate decarbonisation”

Qualifying with a BSc in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and Masters in Business Administration and Technology, Graham served for 23 years as an engineer in the British Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

He spent time with First Group PLC’s London bus business as Engineering Director and latterly, UK Bus Technical Director. Graham then held senior positions in the Condor shipping Group,  Optare and Hinduja Groups where he was responsible for Zero Emission vehicle manufacturing. International Business Development and eMobility Strategy respectively including latterly setting up Switch Mobility Ltd.

Graham joined WAE in 2022 where he is leading the Green Fleet Team, heading the team delivering battery power solution and products to enable the decarbonisation of the heavy mining industry.
