WILLIAMS ADVANCED ENGINEERING RECEIVES MIA BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARD FOR TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION

WAE has received another business accolade, winning the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) Business Excellence Award for Technology and Innovation.

Designed to celebrate true excellence at all levels within the motorsport and high performance engineering industry, the MIA Business Excellence Awards took place on Thursday 12 January as part of the prominent Autosport International Show.

Voted for by motorsport business peers, the awards are made in recognition of significant achievements in the motorsport industry.

WAE’s award was given for a number of high-profile projects that have been successfully delivered over the past 12 months, including:

  • Being sole supplier of the Formula E batteries thus far
  • The creation of the Jaguar C-X75 hypercar for the Bond film, SPECTRE
  • The development of a two fully electric concept cars, the Aston Martin RapidE and Nissan Bladeglider

Speaking about the award, Managing Director of WAE Craig Wilson said: “WAE endeavours to provide its customers with the best engineering solutions using innovative technologies, so we’re delighted to receive such an award. We had a very successful year in 2016, and this is fantastic recognition of our achievements and a great way to kick off the New Year.”
