WILLIAMS ADVANCED ENGINEERING PRESENTED WITH THE QUEEN’S AWARD

Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, Mr Tim Stevenson OBE and His Royal Highness The Duke of York presented Managing Director Craig Wilson and the WAE team with the 2018 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation at their facility in Grove, Oxfordshire following an in-depth tour and briefing. The tour included the state of the art battery facility on site that powers the entire ABB FIA Formula E grid while also developing batteries for road vehicles.  In addition several innovative technologies developed on site were showcased, including AerofoilNETfficientBabypod 20 and several vehicle programmes, from land, sea and air.  The Queen’s Award is for the company’s work on powering Formula E with innovative, world-leading batteries and commercial application of the lessons learned into road-going cars and other vehicles.
